Two people were killed when a truck crashed into their car while they were sitting at a stoplight. The shipper/broker hired this trucking company who was operating illegally. The shipper failed to do any background checks to verify the safety record of the trucking company. Had they done so, they would have discovered that the trucking company had zero experience and was operating illegally
